“It’s Past Time the Senate Got Something Done”: Senator Reverend Warnock Votes in Favor of Bipartisan Legislation to Help Keep Georgians Safe from Gun Violence

Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) voted in favor of bipartisan legislation that will help keep Georgians safe from gun violence, with the vote succeeding 65-33. His statement on the vote is below:

“After the devastating gun violence we’ve seen recently in Uvalde and Buffalo, and after watching the senseless harm done to our children and families at the hands of guns every single day in America, it’s past time the Senate got something done to stop future tragedies. After over 20 years of inaction in Congress, I’m proud we finally came together and took action to pass common-sense policies supported by a majority of Georgians and Americans. Our work continues to ensure our schools, movie theaters, shopping malls, grocery stores, houses of worship and communities are safe for all Georgians, in every corner of our state.”
