Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senators Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Jon Ossoff (D-GA) released the following statements after President Joe Biden accepted their recommendation and nominated Tiffany Rene Johnson to serve as a Judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
“Tiffany Rene Johnson will be an excellent addition to the bench for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia,” said Senator Reverend Warnock. “I was proud to join Senator Ossoff in recommending Johnson, and I’m excited the White House accepted our recommendation. Johnson is a first-generation college graduate and a dedicated public servant with a distinguished record of community and legal service. Throughout the nominating process, Johnson impressed me with her temperament, discernment, and wisdom beyond her years. I look forward to confirming this fair and qualified nominee.”

Tiffany R. Johnson has been an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia since 2017. She served in the office’s Civil Division until 2020, when she transferred to its Criminal Division. From 2012 to 2017, Ms. Johnson worked as a litigation associate at the Atlanta law firm of Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs, LLP. She received her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2012 and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Princeton University in 2009.
