On Thursday Senator Reverend Warnock met with Georgia workers during Home Depot’s “Aprons on the Hill” Day

Senator Reverend Warnock affirmed his commitment to supporting and strengthening Georgia’s workforce

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) met with Georgia workers during Home Depot’s “Aprons on the Hill” Day, where he affirmed his commitment to supporting and strengthening Georgia’s workforce. A self-proclaimed “Home Depot Dad,” as he proclaimed during the meeting, Senator Warnock also discussed the importance of the Georgia-based business to the state’s economy, and highlighted his efforts to pass laws like the CHIPS and Science Act, as well as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, that will benefit Home Depot’s bottom line. Senator Warnock closed the meeting by thanking the workers for their service to the company and to Georgia, and reiterated his dedication to working in Washington to address the issues that are most affecting the company and its workers—from helping combat crime to lowering the costs of doing businesses.

Senator Warnock is committed to protecting the safety and dignity of workers across Georgia, as well as creating jobs and supporting workforce development opportunities in every corner of the state. Senator Warnock recently announced a $65 million grant for Georgia Tech that will increase workforce development training as part of the American Rescue Plan. Additionally, in May, the Senate unanimously approved a provision in the jobs and competition bill, also known as the CHIPS and Science Act, that Senator Warnock introduced, which will help create Georgia jobs and strengthen the state’s workforce.
