$123 million investments included in new bipartisan infrastructure law championed by both Senators

Funds will go to 90 airports across the state – VIEW the full list here

Washington, D.C. – Today, Georgia U.S. Senators Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff announced over $123 million in new federal funding for Georgia’s airports across the state. The allocations come from the Airport Infrastructure Grants the Senators fought to pass through the bipartisan infrastructure package, which was signed into law last month.

The investments will be allocated to various airport-related projects that will strengthen, repair and improve the state’s airport infrastructure. The funding will also help increase airport safety, equity and sustainability while expanding capacity for airport communities in addition to other benefits.

“I am proud the positive impacts of the new bipartisan infrastructure law are already starting to flow to Georgia to help keep our airports and aviation industry strong. As a member of the Senate transportation committee, I’m going to keep fighting to strengthen federal funding for Georgia’s infrastructure to keep our skies friendly and safe and our economy moving forward,” said Senator Reverend Warnock.

“I will continue working to upgrade facilities at Georgia’s airports to improve efficiency, safety, and the passenger experience,” Senator Ossoff said.

In addition to Georgia’s airports, Senators Warnock and Ossoff fought to increase funding and pass policies in the bipartisan infrastructure law to benefit Georgia’s roads, bridges, broadband infrastructure, public transportation, clean-energy job growth and beyond. The Senators previously secured $13.5 million for Georgia airports in the American Rescue Plan.
